devlog 3 - mechanics


in this update I have included the first iteration of mechanics updates. included is a WIP totem system and attack system the enemies also have a star ai following method which i adapted some code over from a tutorial.

the player will attack with a mouse tentacle, this lends itself more to a more open area level concept but the sample level I have created will do for this devlog. the attack currently does no damage as the enemies have no health so far

the totem is activated by pressing space, there is a chance if I can get a mask to work over the attack trail I may eventually scrap the totem mechanic all together but this seems unlikely.

updates will come in multiple times this coming week as I am not currently up to speed with the weekly updates, the one for this week was scheduled to be graphics but, aside from the grass, wall corners, and enemy updates, I have not done much work on that yet.


ps. the build version that was uploaded with this seems to be a it buggy in the browser, the player moves way too fast, that was not the case in unity so i also need to fix that
